About Lindi

Lindi Gericke has over 20 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist and has worked in various education settings, including mainstream schools, full-service schools, special schools, and care centres for learners with severe intellectual disabilities. Her career spans both school and district levels, providing her with a unique perspective on systems and support services in education.

Currently, Lindi serves as the senior therapist at a Special School, where she leads a multidisciplinary team that supports learners with autism, intellectual disabilities, and various other developmental challenges. Before this role, she held a strategic leadership position in the Inclusive and Specialised Learner and Educator Support Team (ISLES) in the Western Cape, where she oversaw therapy service delivery to over 280 schools.

Lindi’s expertise includes developing standardized intervention models, training hundreds of educators and parents, and designing innovative online learning content for early identification of learning barriers. As a certified Ayres Sensory Integration® Therapist and Stark Griffin Dyslexia Academy Professional, she brings both science and passion to her work.

Lindi has been a keynote speaker at provincial education conferences, proudly representing the Department of Education, and has also actively contributed to the Western Cape Provincial FASD Task Team. She loves to share her experience, insights, and passion for applying neuroscience principles in the classroom to empower teachers and parents to support learners.
